In this End of Degree Work (TFG), we have studied the different efficiency and energy saving systems in public street lighting networks , thereby improving the protection of the environment through efficient and rational use of energy, reduction of night-time brightness and increased security of energy supply . To this end, the various types of lamps and auxiliary equipment are analyzed, focusing on LED technology, as well as the various existing control and control equipment and light flow control systems . We have also studied the specific case of an improvement in the energy efficiency of the municipal outdoor lighting of Úbeda (Jaén) , where we analyze the foreseeable future results and draw various conclusions . The Ubeda improvement proyect includes economic-financial and lighting studies
