VIVENCIAS DE MUJERES CON LESIÓN MEDULAR DURANTE LA MATERNIDAD

Abstract

[ES] Actualmente cada vez son más las mujeres, ya sean parapléjicas o tetrapléjicas, que no quieren renunciar a la maternidad. Ser madres les devuelve la autoestima y la autoconfianza perdida en principio. El objetivo general de este proyecto de investigación es explorar las vivencias de mujeres con lesión medular durante la maternidad. El marco teórico y los objetivos de este estudio están diseñados para desarrollar el proyecto de investigación bajo una perspectiva cualitativa. Las conclusiones de este estudio irán en la línea de descubrir las vivencias y necesidades que sienten estas mujeres. Su conocimiento, permitirá diseñar un Programa Específico de ayuda a la maternidad en mujeres con lesión medular que beneficiará a madre, hijo y a su entorno familiar.

[EN] Currently, more and more women, whether paraplegic or quadriplegic, are unwilling to give up motherhood. Being mothers gives back the self-esteem and self-confidence lost in principle. The general objective of this research project is to explore the experiences of women with spinal cord injury during maternity. The theoretical framework and objectives of this study are designed to develop the research project from a qualitative perspective. The conclusions of this study will be in the line of discovering the experiences and needs that these women feel. Their knowledge will allow the design of a specific program to help motherhood in women with spinal cord injury that will benefit the mother, child and family environment.
