Iconografía de Buda en el Arte del Lejano Oriente

Abstract

En este trabajo se pretende realizar un estudio sobre la iconografía de Buda, analizándose las diferentes escuelas y estilos artísticos surgidos en la India. Así, se estudiará los períodos históricos más relevantes, analizándose la influencia de las diferentes culturas atendiendo a la propia evolución de la doctrina budista. Finalmente se atenderá a la expansión de la cultura y el arte budista hacia la zona del Sudeste Asiático, en donde se aprecia la mezcla del budismo con otras tradiciones religiosas y culturales.

In this academic paper I want to carry out a study based on Buddha’s iconography by analysing the different schools and artistic styles that have emerged in India. Thus, the most relevant historical periods will be studied, taking into account the influence of different cultures according to the evolution of the Buddhist doctrine itself. Lastly, I will study closely the expansion of the Buddhist culture and art towards Southeast Asia, where the diversity of Buddhism with other religious and cultural traditions can be appreciated.
