dc.description.abstractThe purpose of the present paper is to define the concept of hero and the stages of the adventure described in Campbell’s work The Hero with a Thousand Faces (1949) in order to consider its applicability to the fourteenth century English romance Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. This essay will also include several considerations on the validity of Campbell’s Model in different manifestations of popular culture.es_ES
