(ES)El presente Trabajo Final de Máster profundiza en la implementación de los juegos como recurso pedagógico
para la enseñanza del inglés, enfatizando la importancia de enseñar vocabulario en un contexto significativo y
promover la autonomía del estudiante en el proceso de aprendizaje. Al reconocer las características y habilidades
únicas de los estudiantes jóvenes, se centra en el aprendizaje basado en juegos como un enfoque pedagógico
eficaz para la adquisición de una segunda lengua (L2). Además, se analiza el uso de juegos y actividades
recreativas como herramientas poderosas para reforzar el vocabulario y crear un ambiente de aprendizaje
motivador y atractivo. Este trabajo destaca el papel crucial de los profesores en la enseñanza de lenguas y la
necesidad de abordar los diferentes aspectos de la lengua como la gramática, el vocabulario y la fonética de una
manera integral. Por ello, se propone una situación de aprendizaje dirigida al alumnado de 4o de Educación
Primaria, destacando la relevancia de adaptarse a las necesidades cambiantes de la educación y la normativa
actual para mejorar la enseñanza de lenguas y cultivar estudiantes comunicativamente competentes para toda la
vida.
(EN)The present master dissertation delves into the implementation of games as a pedagogical resource for teaching English, emphasising the importance of teaching vocabulary in a meaningful context and promoting student’s autonomy in the learning process. Recognising the unique characteristics and abilities of young learners, it focuses on Game-Based Learning as an effective pedagogical approach to second language (L2) acquisition. In addition, the use of games and recreational activities is analysed as powerful tools to reinforce vocabulary and create a motivating and attractive learning environment. This paper highlights the crucial role of teachers in language teaching and the need to address the different aspects of language such as grammar, vocabulary and phonetics in a comprehensive manner. Therefore, a learning situation aimed at students in 4th Grade of Primary Education is proposed, highlighting the relevance of adapting to the changing needs of education and current regulations to improve language teaching and cultivate communicatively competent lifelong learners.
