(EN) First of all, this end-of-degree thesis is argued and justified through a previous theoretical framework, thus showing how mathematical learning is performed at the early childhood education stage. Next, an analysis of the mathematical activity used in early childhood education is developed, focusing specifically on composition and additive decomposition. In order to analyze this topic, a book of mathematical worksheets called “think with Aris” published by Edelvives has been taken into account. Subsequently, a didactic design has been proposed to improve the teaching-learning process, aiming to solve problems with functional and meaningful didactic situations for the students. Finally, a brief conclusion of all that this work has given me in the development of professional knowledge is presented.
