Arqueoastronomía en el Antiguo Egipto, otra aproximación a lo inmaterial

Abstract

Este trabajo pretende un acercamiento al mundo simbólico, religioso y funerario del Antiguo Egipto a través de la arqueoastronomía. En primer lugar, se hace una definición de la disciplina y se tratarán alguno de sus métodos de estudio, así como alguna de las ventajas que tiene con respecto al estudio arqueológico. A continuación, se examinan los templos en Egipto como entidad para, posteriormente, ver los resultados de los estudios arqueoastronómicos que se han hecho en torno a ellos y algunos ejemplos concretos. Finalmente, se estudia el mundo funerario, hablando por separado del individuo y de la tumba, para de esta forma ver las connotaciones astronómicas en cada una de las partes del enterramiento.The main aim of the present essay is to study the symbolic, religious and funerary world of Ancient Egypt through archaeoastronomy. At first, we will define the discipline and will address some methods, as well as some advantages in relation to the archaeology. Next, we analyze temples in Ancient Egypt as a whole, and afterwards we will check out the results of de archaeoastronomical studies about them and giving some examples. Finally, we connect the funerary world, talking separately about the person and the tomb, with the astronomical information in each part of the burial.
