CARACTERIZACION DE CEPAS DE PAENIBACILLUS Y BACILLUS CON ACTIVIDAD ANTIMICROBIANA Y SU APLICACION EN BIOCONSERVACION DE ALIMENTOS

Abstract

[ES] El problema actual y cada vez más acentuado debido a la resistencia a los antbiótcos por parte de las bacterias ha propiciado la búsqueda de nuevas formas de control sobre las mismas. Por ello, se desarrolla el siguiente proyecto de investigación con el objetivo de obtener soluciones reales frente a este importante problema.Es necesario encontrar soluciones con las que se pueda hacer frente de una manera rápida, eficaz, sin mucho coste económico y reduciendo al máximo todos los problemas derivados. Utilizando esto de premisa, el objetivo de este Trabajo Fin de Máster es la búsqueda y obtención de cepas con capacidad de producción de agentes antimicrobianos que sean capaces de inhibir el crecimiento o bien eliminar completamente las bacterias con un importante potencial patógeno. Se buscarán cepas en diferentes ambientes con el interés de encontrar bacterias que sean capaces deproducir diferentes compuestos o sustancias con carácter antmicrobiano. Posteriormente, las cepas que sea capaces de producir estos agente antmicrobianos, serán secuenciadas. Se buscará obtener cepas especialmente del género Bacillus y Paenibacillus, ya que estos géneros demuestran tener un importante potencial como productores de agentes antmicrobianos.

[EN] The current and growing problem due to antbiotc resistance by bacteria has led to the search for new ways to control them. Therefore, the following research project is being developed with the aim of obtaining real solutons to this important problem. It is necessary to fnd solutons that can be dealt with quickly, efciently, without much economic cost andby minimizing all the problems that result. Using this premise, the objectve of this Master Thesis is to search for and obtain strains capable of producing antmicrobial agents that are capable of inhibitng growth or completely eliminatng bacteria with a signifcant pathogenic potental. Strains will be searched in diferent environments with the interest of fnding bacteria that are capable of producing diferent compounds or substances with antmicrobial character. Subsequently, strains capable of producing these antmicrobials will be sequenced. Strains will be sought especially from the genus Bacillus and Paenibacillus, as these genera demonstrate an important potental as producers of antmicrobial agents.
