[EN]Adolescence is a stage of development characterized by changes produced at the physical, cerebral, social and behavioral levels generating great emotional reactivity and a decrease in overall well-being. Because teens are more vulnerable to mental disorders such as depression, this period of growth is key to the creation of interventions that are able to train emotional intelligence in the educational field with the aim of improving the perception, understanding and regulation skills of emotions, as well as the psychological well-being of young people. Therefore, it’s proposed to application an educational program with positive reinforcement for students in 1st and 2nd graders through means of a non-randomized controlled test and a pre and post-intervention measurement. As a result participants are expected to increase emotional skills, and as a consequence, psychological well-being, self-esteem and academic performance.
