Beneficios de la musicoterapia en enfermos con Alzheimer

Abstract

[ES]Existe un envejecimiento de la población a nivel mundial que trae consigo multitud de enfermedades, entre ellas el Alzheimer. Con el presente estudio se pretende realizar una revisión de la bibliografía con el objetivo de analizar qué beneficios puede aportar la musicoterapia (terapia alternativa) a los enfermos de Alzheimer. Para ello se ha realizado una búsqueda bibliográfica en diferentes bases de datos científicas (CINAHL, Cochrane, Cuiden, Medline, Pubmed), además de haber utilizado otros buscadores como Google Académico y también haber recopilado información por búsqueda inversa. Finalmente el estudio se compone de 15 artículos. La mayoría de estudios coinciden en que la musicoterapia es una intervención enriquecedora y positiva para los enfermos de Alzheimer y sus cuidadores, además supone un coste mínimo. Los resultados han sido divididos en base a los diferentes tipos de aplicación de la musicoterapia. Es necesaria más información respecto al tema precisándose nuevos estudios que abalen dicha información.

[EN]There is an aging population worldwide that brings with it a multitude of diseases, including Alzheimer's. This study aims to conduct a review of the literature in order to analyze what benefits can bring music therapy (alternative therapy) to Alzheimer's patients. For this purpose, a bibliographic search has been carried out in different scientific databases (CINAHL, Cochrane, Cuiden, Medline, Pubmed), in addition to having used other search engines such as Google Academic and also having collected information by reverse search. Finally, the study is composed of 15 articles. Most studies agree that music therapy is an enriching and positive intervention for Alzheimer's patients and their caregivers, in addition to a minimum cost. The results have been divided based on the different types of application of music therapy. More information is needed on the subject, and new studies are needed to provide further information.
