El proyecto Tánger Med: ¿Instrumento de desarrollo Territorial?

Abstract

[ES]Este Trabajo Fin de Máster (TFM) analiza si el proyecto Tánger Med ha sido un instrumento de desarrollo territorial para la región marroquí de Tánger-Tetuán-Alhucemas. El proyecto comenzó en febrero de 2003, cuando el rey de Marruecos, Mohamed VI, anunció el inicio de los trabajos del puerto “Tánger Med 1”, en funcionamiento desde 2007. En julio de 2019 fue inaugurado la segunda fase el “Tanger Med 2”, tercera fase y última del macro proyecto portuario que empezó a proyectarse a principios del siglo XXI con el objetivo de crear el primer hub logistic del continente africano y el desarrollo de un centro industrial. El TFM describe la evolución del proyecto y estudia los efectos que este macro-proyecto ha tenido sobre el territorio, valorando si ha conseguido ser un instrumento para el desarrollo de dicha región y, por tanto, del Reino de Marruecos

[EN]This Final Master Project (TFM) analyzes whether the Tanger Med project has been an instrument of territorial development for the Moroccan region of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima. The project began in February 2003, when the King of Morocco, Mohamed VI, announced the start of work on the "Tangier Med 1" port, in operation since 2007. In July 2019, the second phase the "Tanger Med 2" was inaugurated ”, Third and last phase of the macro port project that began to be projected at the beginning of the 21st century with the aim of creating the first logistics hub on the African continent and the development of an industrial center. The TFM describes the evolution of the project and studies the effects that this macro-project has had on the territory, assessing whether it has managed to be an instrument for the development of said region and, therefore, of the Kingdom of Morocco.
