Abstract

La obligación de alimentos entre parientes surge como una institución independiente ante la necesidad de proteger la vida y la dignidad de una persona en una situación de necesidad, llamada alimentista, donde otra persona será la que tenga el deber de satisfacer dicha necesidad, por lo que adquiere la condición de alimentante. Dicha obligación encuentra su fundamento en la solidaridad familiar, sin embargo, se deben presentar ciertos requisitos para que esta exista dicha obligación e integra unos sujetos determinados que, además, presentan un orden concreto. Finalmente, esta obligación integra diversas prestaciones, sin embargo, se deberán satisfacer más amplia o limitadamente dependiendo del familiar de que se trate. Por todo ello, habrá que analizar el caso concreto que se nos presente.
