[EN] Breast cancer during pregnancy remains being a major public health problem. It is the second most prevailing cancer during pregnancy. This review aims at better understanding the causes and consequences of breast cancer during pregnancy. It collects evidences from different data bases combined with a profuse usage of the Medical Subject Headings database. Maternal breastfeeding is revealed as a protective factor against breast cancer; however, pregnancy seems to increase the chances of developing this cancer. Ultrasound scan and mammography conjointly used appears to be the most convenient diagnostic. Modified radical mastectomy appears to be the most convenient therapy for those expectant mothers developing breast cancer. Pregnancy following breast cancer treatment is feasible and to preserve fertility options are cryopreservation of embryos, cryopreservation of mature oocytes and preservation of the ovarian cortex.
