Terapia celular como tratamiento alternativo a la implantación de prótesis en pacientes

Abstract

[ES]En esta revisión narrativa nos centraremos en las lesiones del cartílago y cómo el tratamiento con las células madre es una terapia alternativa a la implantación de prótesis de rodilla. Qué son, cómo se aíslan, cómo se inyectan, entre otras, será lo que veamos a lo largo de este trabajo. Además, se ha observado cómo la estimulación mecánica, el estiramiento y el estrés sobre las células madre aumenta su efectividad y su reproducción. Con ello podemos deducir que la acción del fisioterapeuta es esencial en la recuperación del paciente cuando se tratan dichas lesiones del cartílago mediante el uso de células madre.[EN]In this narrative review we will focus on cartilage injuries and how treatment with stem cells is an alternative to the knee prosthesis implantation therapy. What are they, how isolated, how are injected, among others, will be what we see throughout this work. In addition, it was observed how mechanical stimulation, stretching and stress on stem cells increases their effectiveness and reproduction. With this we can deduce that the action of the physiotherapist is essential to patient recovery when these cartilage injuries are treated using stem cells.
