Seven of them, showed the effectiveness of myofascial release in the reduction of pain and improving the functionality in musculoskeletal disorders compared with other techniques. One of them didn’t find significant differences between the myofascial release and the technique of the control group with respect to the pain and the functionality. However, it found significant differences in the improvement of the quality of life. There are evidence that myofascial release reduces pain, improves functionality, quality of life, grip strength, tension headache, cervical mobility, and pain threshold pressure in musculoskeletal diseases.
