Resumen
[ES]La parálisis Cerebral Infantil es la causa más común de discapacidad. En España alrededor de 1.500 bebés nacen o desarrollan este síndrome. Tiene diferentes etiologías. La diplejía espástica es la forma más frecuente. Los pacientes presentan afectación de predominio en las extremidades inferiores. La parálisis cerebral no puede curarse, pero con un tratamiento adecuado mejorará las capacidades del niño. Como objetivo principal se establece la realización de un tratamiento para alcanzar un mejor equilibrio y marcha que para que sea más autónomo. La base del tratamiento es la fisioterapia. En este trabajo se propone el uso de Toxina Botulínica como tratamiento para ayudar a disminuir la espasticidad en los miembros inferiores, que ayudará al fisioterapeuta a mejor la marcha y equilibrio, junto con técnicas de Bobath, método Le Métayer, entre otras. Gracias al tratamiento y logrado los objetivos, el paciente ha tenido un avance importante, consiguiendo una buena evolución
[EN] The cerebral palsy is the most common cause of disability. In Spain around 1,500 babies are born or develop this syndrome. It has different etiologies. Spastic diplegia is the most common form. Patients have affected predominantly in the lower extremíties. Cerebral palsy cannot be cured with proper treatment will improve the child's abilities. The main objective of carrying out a treatment is set to achieve a better balance and march to be more autonomous. The mainstay of treatment is physiotherapy. In this paper the use of botulinum toxin is proposed as a treatment to help reduce spasticity in the lower limbs, which will help the therapist to better gait and balance, along with techniques Bobath method Le Metayer, among others. Thanks to treatment and achieved the objectives, the patient has had a breakthrough, achievíng a good outcome.
