Resumen
[ES] La fibromialgia es una enfermedad crónica con una creciente incidencia en la población. La enfermera partiendo del conocimiento de la fisiopatología de la fibromialgia puede actuar en los diferentes niveles de la enfermedad, además de desarrollar una estrategia educativa y de seguimiento para que estos pacientes adquieran conocimientos y destrezas que le ayuden a convivir con la patología. Para conocer el rol enfermero, se ha llevado a cabo una revisión narrativa bibliográfica. Enfermería participa en el diagnóstico de la fibromialgia y en el tratamiento multidisciplinario recomendando estrategias no farmacológicas, así como en la educación sanitaria y el seguimiento de la enfermedad. Los enfermos que padecen fibromialgia requieren de la intervención enfermera en todo momento por lo que los profesionales deben tener amplios conocimientos de los diferentes aspectos de esta patología para poder actuar a diferentes niveles con el objetivo principal de mejorar la calidad de vida de los pacientes.
[EN] Fibromyalgia is a chronic disease with a high incidende in the population. The nurse from the knowledge of the pathophysiology of fibromyalgia can act at different levels of the disease, and develop an educational strategy and monitoring for these patients acquire knowledge and skills that help to live with the disease. A literature narrative review has been made to know the role of nurses in this pathology. Nurses have been involved in the diagnosis of fibromyalgia and in the multidisciplinary treatment recommending non-pharmacological strategies, as well as health education and disease monitoring. Patients suffering fibromyalgia require intervention nurse at all times so that professionals must have extensive knowledge of the different aspects of this disease to act at different levels with the main objective of improving the quality of life of patients.
