Economía del Bien Común: Una economía coherente con los valores democráticos.

Abstract

El orden económico actual, regido por la teoría neoclásica capitalista, ha ahondado y generado diferentes crisis que están socavando nuestra civilización, destruyendo nuestro planeta y mermando nuestra democracia, por lo que es necesario transformar el sistema. La Economía del Bien Común es una de las propuestas para mitigar estas crisis, que establece como objetivo la maximización del interés general, en detrimento del beneficio económico que se convierte en un mero medio, y se fundamenta en los valores democráticos y más humanos de nuestra sociedad. Su implementación, requiere de diferentes estrategias a largo, medio y corto plazo para conseguir una transformación real en la economía y un cambio real en la mentalidad de las empresas y la propia sociedad.The current economic order, governed by neoclassical capitalist theory, has deepened and generated different crises that are undermining our civilization, destroying our planet and diminishing our democracy, so it is necessary to transform the system. The Economy of the Common Good is one of the proposals to mitigate these crises, which establishes as an objective the maximization of the general interest, to the detriment of the economic benefit that becomes a mere means, and is based on the democratic and more humane values of our society. Its implementation requires different long-, medium- and short-term strategies to achieve a real transformation in the economy and a real change in the mentality of companies and society itself.
