ECOGRAFÍA COMO HERRAMIENTA EN LA ENFERMERÍA EXTRAHOSPITALARIA, UNA REVISIÓN BIBLIOGRÁFICA

Abstract

[ES] En los países anglosajones y en la mayor parte de Europa es ya indiscutible la utilidad y la validez de realizar, sobre todo en sucesos traumáticos, una ecografía inicial F.A.S.T. (Focused Assessment with Sonography for Trauma) por parte del personal sanitario no médico que interviene en el rescate extrahospitalario, para tratar inmediatamente las situaciones de riesgo vital y/o dirigir al paciente, en el menor tiempo posible, al centro más adecuado. El objetivo de la revisión es conocer la producción científica existente en estos últimos años sobre la importancia de la ecografía y su realización enfocándose en el ámbito del servicio de urgencias y emergencias extrahospitalarias.

[EN] In Anglo-Saxon countries and in most of Europe, the usefulness and validity of performing, especially in traumatic events, an initial FAST (Focused Assessment with Sonography for Trauma) ultrasound by non-medical health personnel involved in out-of-hospital rescue, in order to immediately treat life-threatening situations and/or direct the patient, in the shortest possible time, to the most appropriate centre, is now undisputed. The aim of the review is to know the scientific production in recent years on the importance of ultrasound and its performance, focusing on the field of out-of-hospital emergency services.
