[EN] Objective: to verify the analgesic effect of sweet substances such as glucose and sucrose, when the child uses for the control of pain before different procedures in neonates. Methodology: a systematic review was carried out on 15 original articles that were obtained by the search in diverse databases with several search chains and a series of filters. In addition, an inverse search has been performed. The analysis was performed using the formula of the counting of votes for each of the variables found in the studies. Results. Fifteen studies have been collected from which information has been obtained to make the results. Conclusion: the use of sucrose and glucose as analgesics against painful procedures in neonates seems to be a good non-pharmacological method. However, more research with a larger sample size is needed than to provide more evidence to the study topic.
