Resumen
[ES] Objetivos: Analizar la efectividad del entrenamiento con Nintendo Wii para reducir el riesgo de caídas en el adulto mayor.
Metodología: Se llevó a cabo una revisión sistemática realizando búsquedas en los buscadores Pubmed, Scopus, PEDro y Cinahl. Se seleccionaros ensayos clínicos que analizasen la efectividad del entrenamiento con Nintendo Wii Fit en comparación con otros métodos o ningún tratamiento.
Resultados: Sólo dos trabajos mostraron efecto del entrenamiento con Nintendo Wii Fit en la reducción del riesgo de caídas. Cinco estudios no encontraron efecto y un trabajo mostró que un entrenamiento de fisioterapia convencional más Nintendo Wii Fit tenía mayor beneficio.
Conclusiones: Existe una evidencia limitada en cuanto a la efectividad del entrenamiento Nintendo Wii Fit en la reducción del riesgo de caídas en el adulto mayor. Se necesitan más estudios que analicen este tipo de entrenamiento para llegar a un consenso en cuanto a sesiones, duración y seguimiento.
