[EN] Osteoarthritis is one of the most common diseases in adults. The main symptom is pain, which reduces people’s quality of life, and even disables them. When conservative treatment is not effective, surgery is redefined. The objective of this study is to develop nursing care plan in a person who underwent a prosthesis knee operation, as well as helping him/her in order to get a better quality of life. Nursing should know and inform about the postoperative process and remain with the patient in the process of convalescence, motivating him/her to get an early recovery. Results have been observed long-term, having achieved a great satisfaction on the part of the patient and the nursing team.
