Factores de riesgo y prevención del síndrome de muerte súbita del lactante: abordaje enfermero.

Abstract

[ES] El síndrome de muerte súbita del lactante es la principal causa de mortalidad infantil. Esta revisión bibliográfica tiene como objetivo actualizar los conocimientos acerca de este síndrome, para centrarse sobre todo en los factores de riesgo y el papel de la enfermería en su prevención. Se ha obtenido que la recomendación de la posición en decúbito supino es la que reduce en mayor medida el riesgo de esta causa de fallecimiento infantil y que el papel de la enfermería en la educación maternal es fundamental.[EN] Sudden infant death syndrome is the leading cause of infant mortality. This literature review aims to update knowledge about this syndrome, to focus mainly on risk factors and the role of nursing in its prevention. It has been obtained that the recommendation of the supine position is the one that reduces to a greater extent the risk of this cause of infantile demise and that the role of nursing in maternal education is fundamental.
