LA PROTECCIÓN DE DATOS EN LA UE Y EL PAPEL DEL REGLAMENTO GENERAL DE PROTECCIÓN DE DATOS

Abstract

[ES] En este trabajo, se estudiará el derecho fundamental a la protección de datos de carácter personal desde la perspectiva de la Unión Europea, dedicándole especial atención al nuevo Reglamento (UE) 2016/679, conocido como Reglamento General de Protección de Datos (RGPD).

A lo largo del trabajo, se analizará el contenido del Reglamento resaltándose las novedades más importantes y concluyendo finalmente con los posibles resultados y perspectivas de futuro de la normativa.

[EN] This dissertation’s purpose will be to study the right to protection of personal data within the context of the European Union, especially regarding the new Regulation (EU) 2016/679, also known as General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Within the dissertation, the contents of said Regulation will be examined, highlighting the most important additions and, finally, concluding with the possible outcomes and future viewpoints.
