Resumen
[ES] El incremento de la población en edades avanzadas, el aumento de patologías
susceptibles de una demanda de cuidados paliativos, el derecho recibir dichos cuidados y una
muerte digna para cualquier persona, requiere de una formación adecuada de los profesionales
de enfermería. Por lo cual el objetivo principal de este estudio es conocer el nivel de
conocimientos que posee el personal de enfermería sobre los cuidados paliativos en las
unidades hospitalarias del hospital San Juan de la Cruz de Úbeda. Se realizó un estudio
descriptivo, observacional y transversal mediante la cumplimentación de un cuestionario
anónimo previo consentimiento informado, se contó con una muestra de 55 profesionales de enfermería. Los resultados que se obtienen del estudio muestran de entre otras en una de sus
variables, que solo un 5% de los encuestados son los que conocen los cuidados relacionados
con la especialidad de paliativos. Esta encuesta nos demuestra que el personal encuestado no
posee los conocimientos necesarios para llevar a cabo esta prestación. Sería necesario la
formación especializada del personal de enfermaría mediante la implantación de la
especialización, máster, cursos, etc.
[EN] The increase of the population in advanced ages, the increase of pathologies liable of a demand of palliative care, the right to receive these cares and a dignified death for any person, needs of a suitable training of infirmary professionals. Therefore, the principal aim of this study is to know the level of knowledge that possess the infirmary staff about the palliative cares in the hospitable units of the hospital San Juan de la Cruz in Úbeda. A descriptive, observational and transversely study was made by means of the fill in of an anonymous questionnaire previous informed consent, it had the sample of 55 professionals of infirmary. The results that are obtained about this study show, between others, in one of his variables, that only the 5% of the ones polled is who know cares related to the specialty of palliative. This survey demonstrates us that the ones polled staff does not possess the necessary knowledge to carry out this benefit. The specialized training of the infirmary staff would be necessary by means of the implementation of the specialization, master´s degree, courses, etc.
