Resumen
[ES] El cáncer colorrectal (CCR) es el tercer cáncer más frecuente diagnosticado en el mundo y se
desarrolla tanto en mujeres como en hombres. Se estima que se ocasionan 41.441 casos nuevos al
año en España y que la tasa de supervivencia a los 5 años es superior a la media de Europa con un
64%, siendo la incidencia en el mundo entero de 1.000.000 casos al año aproximadamente. Dentro
del tratamiento del CCR, la nutrición es un factor muy importante para la calidad de vida y mejora de
los pacientes. Hace falta investigar más sobre el tema y aclarar el tipo de nutrición que sería adecuado
usar, con una alimentación apropiada para este tipo de cáncer y dejando los malos hábitos se ha
comprobado que hay menor riesgo de desarrollar CCR y que en las personas que ya lo padecen es
muy importante seguir manteniendo una buena masa muscular para mejorar la calidad de vida y
aumentar la tasa de supervivencia.
[EN] Colorectal cáncer (CRC) is the third most common cancer diagnosed in the world and develops in both women and men. It is estimated that 41,441 new cases are generated per year in Spain and that the survival rate at 5 years is higher than the European average with 64%, being the incidence in the world of approximately 1, 000,000 cases per year. Within the treatment of colorectal cáncer, nutrition is a very important factor for the quality of life and improvement of patients. lt is necessary to investigate more on the subject and to clarify the type of nutrition that would be suitable use, with proper nutrition for this type of cancer and leaving bad habits has been found that there is a lower risk to develop colorectal cancer and that in people who already suffer it is very important to continue maintaining good muscle mass to improve the quality of life and increase the survival rate.
