[EN] Considering the enormous potential for obtaining energy and derivate that biomass has, in addition to its renewable nature, this work proposes to carry out a comparative study with respect to coal. Furthermore, we must take into account the limited nature of mining resources in general, and specifically of fossil fuels, which have an ephemeral future not only due to their scarcity, but also due to the restrictive legislative impositions derived from the environmental problems they cause. Therefore, in this project, thermal treatments traditionally used in coal are applied to determine to what extent procedures such as gasification, coking and liquefaction are occurring, applied to the exhausted olive pomace, to try to analyze the differences in behavior between these different raw materials (coal and biomass), with a view to their recovery.
