[EN] In this paper I present a real patient case which was admitted to the hospital Neurotraumatológico Jaen as a result of a stroke ischemic. During his stay, his health worsens, causing neurological impairment leading to brain death, thus turning our patient into a potential organ donor. To substantiate my statement, I have done a literature review explaining the different aspects of the terms stroke, brain death and organ donation. As a nurse, I use scientific methodology nurse, taxonomy NANDA, NIC, NOC, which allows me to assess the needs of my patient, diagnostics, planning nursing interventions and results which I would like to get in order to preserve brain function. Once brain death is diagnosed, I perform a review of the changes it produces in the patient and the care given by nurses for maintaining optimal organs, to get the donation.
