[EN] This review tries to determine the effect on wound healing, bacterial count and side effects of sucrose and honey in order to care chronicle wounds. A bibliographic review has been carried out, by searching in the main databases in health sciences as: CINAHL, Cuiden plus, Cochrane, LILACS, Scopus and Pubmed. This search has performed from October 2016 to January 2017. After applying Inclusion and exclusion criteria, 21 usefull articles were choosen. Wound healing, bacterial count and side effects of chronic wounds with sucrose and miel have been related. The use of sugar and honey as a natural therapy is spreading throughout all countries, but it is not the panacea of the cures. More studies are needed to compare the efficacy and effectiveness with other products with health guarantee and thus give safety to contraindications that could arise in the long term.
