¿Qué repercusiones tiene el uso de analgesia epidural en el desarrollo y finalización del parto?

[ES] El objetivo de esta revisión bibliográfica narrativa consiste en explorar y descubrir las
repercusiones del uso de analgesia epidural durante el proceso de parto, analizando si existe relación entre su uso y un aumento del tiempo de la fase de dilatación, fase de expulsivo, del número de partos instrumentales u otras complicaciones derivadas. Se realizó una búsqueda bibliográfica en diferentes bases de datos nacionales e internacionales. Tras el análisis de los estudios seleccionados, encontramos mayoritariamente una relación entre el uso de analgesia epidural y el aumento del número de partos instrumentales, aumento del tiempo de la fase de dilatación y expulsivo del parto; aunque en algunos artículos encontramos bastantes
discordancias en los resultados y diversidad en la opinión de los autores. Además se producen
casos de fiebre intraparto, hipotensión, uso de oxitocina y retención urinaria; no se detecta relación entre el uso de analgesia epidural y complicaciones como cesárea 0 test de Apgar.
[EN] The objective of this narrative bibliographic review is to explore and discover the repercussions of the use of epidural analgesia during labor, analyzing whether there is a relationship between its use and an increase in the time of the dilation phase, the expulsion phase, the number of Instrumental births or other complications arising from their use. A bibliographic search is carried out in different national and international databases. After analyzing the selected studies, we found a relationship between the use of epidural analgesia and an increase in the number of instrumental deliveries, an increase in the time of the dilation phase and expulsion of labor; Although in some articles find enough disagreements in the results and diversity in the opinion of the authors. In addition, more cases of intrapartum fever, hypotension, oxytocin use and urinary retention occur and do not affect others such as cesarean section or Apgar test.
