[EN] The goal of this essay is to highlight some usual models of inventory management and to study the factors that may have a real influence in those models, such as demand, costs and customer satisfaction. The knowledge of such aspects is the key to success for any company, since they establish the final result of it and, accordingly, it will be possible to apply a particular model or another one, as it does not exist only one suitable system for the set of characteristics of all companies. Once the peculiarities of each model have been explained, this essay will practically describe how it would be possible to apply each of the models to a fishing rods distribution company, using the software Excel and R.
