[EN] The objective of this systematic review is to identify, critically evaluate and gather key evidence available to test the efficacy of low level laser therapy in temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJ). For this, we performed a systematic review of existing in the PubMed, PEDro and Scopus data jobs, from 2003 to the present. To evaluate the quality of the selected studies PEDro Scale was used. 130 initially results were obtained, which were selected from 11 works where a systematic review to validate laser therapy as a possible treatment was performed. The results showed that although low laser therapy (LLLT) is effective in the treatment of temporomandibular disorders, a multidisciplinary approach would be the best and most complete option when treating these patients.
