Diagnóstico y afrontamiento de diabetes en niños y adolescentes

Abstract

[ES] La DM1 es la endocrinopatía más frecuente en niños y adolescentes. Es una enfermedad crónica, durante este proceso hay mecanismos de afrontamiento desadaptativos y, entre los objetivos del profesional de la enfermería, está identificar los cambios que se producen en la vida de un paciente diabético joven y su evolución. El presente trabajo profundiza en los estudios realizados sobre la respuesta del paciente joven y su entorno ante el diagnóstico de DM1. Para lograr este objetivo se identificaron los diagnósticos de enfermería más frecuentes, así como los conocimientos previos y la actitud que adoptan tanto el paciente diabético joven como su familia y se concluye que es importante el trabajo de un equipo interdisciplinar para amortiguar el impacto que produce el diagnóstico de diabetes y el posterior desarrollo de problemas psicológicos.

[EN] DM1 is the most common endocrine disease in children and adolescents. It is a chronic disease and during this process there are maladaptive coping mechanisms and among the objectives of professional nursing is to identify the changes in the life of a young diabetic patient and their evolution. This academic work deepens in studies on the response of the young patient and their family environment before the diagnosis of DM1. To achieve this objective more frequent nursing diagnosis were identified, as well as previous knowledge and their attitude both diabetic patient young as his family and were concluded that it is important the work of an interdisciplinary team to cushion the impact caused by the diagnosis of diabetes and the subsequent development of psychological problems.
