PROGRAMA DE EDUCACIÓN PARA LA SALUD DIRIGIDO A ADOLESCENTES AFECTADOS DE FIBROSIS QUÍSTICA Y SUS FAMILIAS.

Resumen
[ES] La fibrosis quística es una enfermedad que acorta la vida. Gracias a los avances en tratamientos, la
tasa de supervivencia de personas con fibrosis quística ha incrementado en los últimos años. Vivir con
esta enfermedad afecta a la persona que la padece y al resto de la familia. La educación es esencial
para garantizar una buena calidad de vida. Por ello, en base a la evidencia encontrada, proponemos el
desarrollo de un programa de educación para la salud, cuyo objetivo es mejorar los conocimientos y
fomentar actitudes y conductas de cuidados y autocuidados en adolescentes con fibrosis quística de
11 a 19 años y sus familias, para mejorar la calidad de vida de ambos y reducir las posibles
complicaciones. El programa se divide en siete sesiones desarrolladas en el Hospital Médico
Quirúrgico de Jaén, con intervenciones grupales e individuales familiares, utilizando diversas
estrategias educativas y en el cual participan varios profesionales.
[EN] Cystic fibrosis is a disease that shortens life. Thanks to advances in treatment, the survival rate of people with cystic fibrosis has increased in recent years. Living with this disease affects the person who suffers from it and the rest of the family. Education is essential to ensure a good quality of life. Therefore, based on the evidence found, we propose the development of a health education program, whose objective is to improve knowledge and promote attitudes and behaviors of care and self-care in adolescents with cystic fibrosis from 11 to 19 years and their families, to improve the quality of life of both and to reduce the possible complications. The program is divided into seven sessions developed at the Hospital ”Médico Quirúrgico” of Jaén, with group and individual family interventions, using various educational strategies and in which several professionals are involved.
