emergencias. Humanización en la atención.
[EN] Objetive: To provide an analysis of published data on the importance of humanization in the care provided by nurses in the Emergency Department. Methods: A search strategy was applied to the LILACS, Scopus, CINAHL, BDENF, SCIELO and Web of Science (WOS) databases. Clinical trials developed between 2011 and 2021 were selected. The CASPe scale was used as a measure to evaluate the methodological quality of the studies. Results: A total of 159 articles were obtained from which, after applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 9 articles were selected. These articles were divided into three blocks; three articles identified strategies for carrying out humanized care by nursing staff in an emergency department. Three other articles analyzed the perceptions of humanization of users and family members admitted to the intensive care unit. The remaining two articles examined how humane emergency department care is. The most studied study variables were: degree of satisfaction of family members and patients in the emergency department and the degree of perception that health professionals had about the humanization of the emergency department. Conclusion: This systematic review has demonstrated high evidence for the existence of improvement strategies with respect to the humanization of nursing care provided in emergency departments. However, specialized training of nursing professionals should be encouraged. Keywords: Humanization of care. Urgencies. Nursing. Emergencies. Emergencies medical services.
