EFECTIVIDAD Y VALIDEZ DEL TRIAJE EN LAS URGENCIAS PEDIÁTRICAS: UNA REVISIÓN SISTEMÁTICA

Resumen
[ES] Introducción: Una correcta categorización de los niños que precisen de ingreso hospitalario (sensibilidad) o por el contrario de aquellos que no son susceptibles de ella (especificidad) nos muestra el nivel de atención que proporciona dicha institución. Objetivo: analizar la efectividad y validez de los sistemas de triaje utilizados en los Servicios de Urgencias Pediátricos. Metodología: se realiza una revisión sistemática mediante la búsqueda en diversas fuentes. Resultados: se incluyó un total de 12 artículos. De todos los artículos incluidos se evalúa la validez de diversas escalas a través de diversos aspectos como pueden ser la permanencia de tiempo en el servicio de urgencias, probabilidad de ingreso en hospital y relación con los diferentes niveles de urgencia asignados y recursos utilizados. Conclusión: Todas las escalas incluidas en el presente artículo ofrecen niveles elevados tanto de validez como de fiabilidad, a excepción de la DRTP que necesita más investigaciones al respecto.
[EN] Introduction: A correct categorization of children requiring hospital admission (sensitivity) or, on the contrary, of those who are not susceptible to it (specificity) shows us the level of care provided by this institution. Objective: to analyze the effectiveness and validity of the triage systems used in Pediatric Emergency Departments. Methodology: a systematic review was carried out by means of a search in different sources. Results: a total of 12 articles were included. Of all the articles included, the validity of various scales was evaluated through different aspects such as time spent in the emergency department, probability of admission to hospital and relationship with the different levels of urgency assigned and resources used. Conclusion: All the scales included in this article offer high levels of validity and reliability, with the exception of the DRTP, which requires further research.
