Ítem Acoustic noise monitoring with Low Power Wide Area Networks(2022-10-04) Alrharad, Amine; Gadeo Martos, Manuel Ángel; Universidad de Jaén. Ingeniería de Telecomunicación[EN] This master thesis aims to design and deploy a system to monitor the noise pollution using Low Power Wide Area Networks (LPWANs). Likewise, we are going to design, implement and deploy a more accurate noise indicator, adapted to resource-constrained devices, such as Arduino, in order to obtain a more precise real-time information about acoustic noise, which will help us to evaluate the presence of low frequency components that allows a detection more adjusted to reality of the degree of annoyance caused by the noise perceived by people. For this purpose, a network topology will be designed and deployed aiming to monitor the noise pollution. In this master thesis, we are going to use two technologies: SIGFOX and LoRaWAN networks, with the goal of sending the noise indicators to our web server. Finally, we are going to adapt to our requirements the web server implemented by the Telematics Systems Engineering research group (TIC-220), in order to achieve storing the noise indicators sent by the end nodes (SIGFOX and LoRaWAN) in a database, processing and visualizing them to the end user. As well, we are going to configure the TIC-220’s web server so that all the communication among SIGFOX backend, LoRaWAN server (TTN) and the web server will be done through https protocol instead of http.Ítem Monitorización de variables medioambientales mediante redes de sensores inalámbricos. [EN] This final degree project has as main objective the determination of the sampling period in a node of a wireless sensor network, which allows the reduction of energy consumption, minimizing the error between the current data offered by the sensor and the real data. For this purpose, we will look for a wireless sensor network technology that allows us to read the environmental parameters (temperature, humidity and brightness), and send them to a server to store, process and show them to the user. Finally, in order to automate the determination of the sampling period, a fuzzy system based on rules will be used.
