Se estudiará detenidamente cuál es el papel de la Responsabilidad Social en la Universidad de Jaén, España y Università degli studi della Calabria (Cosenza, Italia), analizando las acciones desempeñadas por ambas universidades en ámbitos como el social, económico y medioambiental, destacando aquellas políticas o herramientas desarrolladas por dichas universidades y sus organismos afines que impulsen la mejora o consecución del desarrollo sostenible. Palabras clave: Responsabilidad Social Corporativa, Universidades, prácticas de Responsabilidad Social.[EN] The main purpose of this essay is to delimit what the Corporate Social Responsability is and which are its chief characteristics and functions, due to the continuous growing from its appearance and the deep change that it supposed in the society in general, motivated by the adoption of Corporate Social Responsability’s policies in the strategic and functional planning of companies and organizations worldwide. It will be throughly studied which is the Corporate Social Responsability role at the University of Jaén (Spain), and Università degli Studi della Calabria (Cosenza, Italy), analysing performed actions by both universities in fields such as social, economic and environmrntal, emphasizing those politics or tools developed by these universities and their related organisms that drive the improvement or the attaintment of the sustainable development.
