El objetivo es dar a conocer la difícil coyuntura que atraviesa este sector, así como las causas que la han originado. Para ello estudiaremos su funcionamiento, identificando todos los agentes de la cadena de valor y la formación de precios. También se mencionarán los principales problemas a los que se enfrenta y se analizará la Ley de Defensa de la Competencia, centrándonos en las prácticas colusorias. Tras tratar todos estos puntos, queda patente la debilidad del sector, causada sobre todo por la fragmentación de los productores y la gran concentración de los distribuidores, los cuales marcan los precios del aceite de oliva como les convenga, utilizándolo como un producto reclamo y sin darle la importancia y prestigio que merece.[EN] Structuring this work around the olive sector, the purpose is to highlight how the legislation controls and regulates collusive practices, even admitting them in certain cases. The objective is to publicize the difficult situation that this sector is going through, as well as the causes that have caused it. To do this we will study its operation, identifying all the agents of the value chain and the formation of prices. The main problems facing it will also be mentioned and the Competition Act will be analysed, focusing on collusive practices.
