En el actual estudio se aspira a localizar diferencias en distintas variables psicológicas entre individuos con y sin tentativa suicida previa. La muestra estuvo constituida por 312 individuos con edades comprendidas entre 18 y 30 años. Se dividió la muestra entre los individuos que habían cometido o no tentativas suicidas. Los resultados indican que existe relación estadísticamente significativa entre la variable de agrupamiento (tentativas) y el sexo de los individuos que participaron en este estudio, por lo que el resto de los análisis se realizaron de forma independiente para hombres y para mujeres. Se discuten las diferencias entre las variables psicológicas del estudio y las tentativas suicidas entre hombres y mujeres al respecto de las estadísticas sobre suicidio, que son más acusadas en varones.The act of suicide is a significant public health problem, with suicide attempts being one of the most highly predictive behaviours. In the current study we aimed to locate differences in several psychological variables between individuals with and without previous suicide attempts. The sample consisted of 312 individuals aged between 18 and 30 years. The sample was divided into individuals who had and had not committed suicide attempts. The results indicate that there is a statistically significant relationship between the grouping variable (suicide attempts) and the sex of the individuals who participated in this study, therefore the rest of the analyses were conducted independently for males and females.
