Dentro de este ámbito, nos centraremos en la tercera edad, un colectivo bastante afectado por estas circunstancias. Analizaremos su legislación, y los servicios y prestaciones que ésta ofrece para paliar los efectos negativos que decaen sobre las personas dependientes y sus familiares. Intentaremos detectar qué falla y qué se puede mejorar para que el sistema tenga un funcionamiento óptimo. This work is focused on an issue that affects a large part of Spanish citizens, the situation of dependency, a social problem that we will address from a legal perspective. Within this area, we will focus on the elderly, a group quite affected by these circumstances. We will analyze its legislation, and the services and benefits that it offers to mitigate the negative effects that decay on dependent people and their families.
