Para ello, es indispensable disponer de recursos y servicios para afrontarla, tanto para atender a personas afectadas, como para intervenir activamente en su prevención. En el presente trabajo, tras conocer los datos epidemiológicos, hacer un repaso por la historia evolutiva institucional de la violencia de género en el ámbito estatal y autonómico y resaltar la importancia de la profesión de Trabajo Social en esta lucha, se pretende realizar un estudio de los recursos y servicios existentes actualmente en la provincia de Málaga con los que las mujeres víctimas de violencia de género pueden contar para afrontar esta dura situaciónThe eradication of gender violence is a challenge that we constantly face.
