Participaron 194 niños, 100 niños y 94 niñas procedentes de colegios de Jaén. Se recogió información con el cuestionario sociodemográfico y se evaluó las FE con el BRIEF-P. Al concluir este estudio, afirma que las FE tienen relación con las medidas antropométricas. El principal hallazgo es que no existen diferencias significativas entre sexos; y que el IMC correlaciona de manera significativa la memoria de trabajo y la inhibición. Por lo que el IMC actúa de manera inversa sobre las FE. En consecuencia con esto, la actividad física es una buena solución para evitar el sobrepeso y así mejorar las FE.The main objective of this study has been to analyze the differences between sexes in executive functions (EF) and the influence of other variables (BMI), and develop a didactic proposal focused on executive functions from the children from 3 to 6 years related to physical activity. Involved 194 children, of whom 100 were boys and 94 were girls from schools of Jaen. Information was gathered throught the socio-demographic questionnaire and the executive functions were evaluated with the BRIEF-P. At the conclusion of this study, it can be say that the executive functions are related in terms of anthropometric measures. The main finding is that there aren´t significant differences between sexes; and the BMI correlates significantly the working memory and the inhibition. So the BMI acts inversely on executive functions.
