Psicología2022-03-312022-03-312022-03-31https://hdl.handle.net/10953.1/17216En este artículo se expone una revisión sistemática acerca de las bases neuroanatómicas implicadas en la sintomatología de atracones, con y sin diagnóstico de Trastorno por Atracón (TA), a través de la revisión de estudios que utilizan técnicas de neuroimagen (fMRI y PET), en población adolescente, joven y adulta. A pesar de la pobreza de artículos que evidencian este contenido, los principales hallazgos encontrados revelan que las cortezas cingulada anterior, somatosensorial y parietal, así como la ínsula, circunvolución frontal medial derecha, cuerpo estriado ventral (VS), núcleo accumbens, núcleo caudado y especialmente la corteza prefrontal (PFC), son las estructuras implicadas en la sintomatología de atracones. Finalmente, se concluye que pese a la marcada prevalencia del TA en comparación con otros TCA, las investigaciones vigentes con neuroimagen son insuficientes teniendo en cuenta el actual auge de este trastorno.This article presents a systematic review about the neuroanatomical bases involved in binge-eating symptoms, with and without a diagnosis of Binge Eating Disorder (BED), through the review of studies that use neuroimaging techniques (fMRI and PET), in adolescent, young and adult population. Despite the paucity of articles that evidence this content, the main findings found reveal that the cortices anterior cingulate, somatosensory and parietal, as well as the insula, right medial frontal gyrus, striatum (VS), nucleus accumbens, nucleus caudate and especially the prefrontal cortex (PFC), are the structures involved in the symptoms of binge eating.
