Para ello hemos llevado a cabo una aproximación al tema donde explicamos brevemente que es la mutilación genital femenina, para más tarde hablar sobre la normativa contra esta práctica nociva y la situación de la misma en el ámbito español, tratando tanto la sorprendente prevalencia en algunas comunidades autónomas como las situaciones de riesgo, el tipo de prevención que se lleva a cabo y las medidas y protocolos creadas desde el ámbito nacional hasta el regional.
