Comparativa del impacto del bullying frente al cyberbullying: revisión bibliográfica

Resumen
Los fenómenos de bullying y de cyberbullying producen un importante impacto en las personas involucradas. El objetivo de este trabajo es comparar el impacto de ambos tipos de fenómenos y analizar sus similitudes y diferencias, a través de una revisión bibliográfica. Los resultados muestran que ambos tienen más similitudes que diferencias en el impacto en víctimas y agresores/as. El impacto en las víctimas de bullying y cyberbullying está asociado con baja autoestima, ideación suicida, depresión, ansiedad, ira, tristeza, uso de sustancias y dificultades académicas. No obstante, víctimas de bullying informan sentimientos de culpa y vergüenza más frecuentemente que las víctimas online. Los agresores/as también muestran similitudes como baja empatía y autoestima, pero los agresores/as de bullying muestran más remordimientos tras la intimidación en comparación con los online. En general, el impacto más severo aparece en aquellas personas que son víctimas tanto de bullying como de cyberbullying simultáneamente.

However, bullying victims report shame and guilt more often than online victims. The aggressors also show similarities such as low empathy and self- esteem, but compared to online aggressors, face- to- face aggressors feel more remorse after intimidation episode.
