Resumen
La cárcel es una institución patriarcal que demuestra que el machismo sigue presente en la sociedad española.
Este trabajo trata de abordar el sistema penitenciario vigente para mujeres y madres en nuestro país; a tal efecto, se analiza la figura de la mujer en prisión, haciendo especial referencia a las mujeres que son madres.
En tal sentido, dado que se observa un anquilosado rol que identifica a las mujeres que son madres desde una perspectiva asistencial, mediante el presente trabajo se pretende ahondar en el sistema penitenciario, con el fin de buscar un modelo que permita trabajar con mujeres y menores dentro de la prisión, siendo clave, en esta línea, el papel que en la actualidad juegan las unidades externas de madres.
Prison is a patriarchal institution that shows that machismo is still present in spanish society. This work seeks to address the current prison system for women and mothers in our country; To this end, the figure of the woman in prison is analyzed, making special reference to the women who are mothers. In this sense, since there is a ankylosed role that identifies women who are mothers from a care perspective, through this work is intended to delve into the penitentiary system, in order to look for a model that allows working with women and children inside the prison, being key, in this line, the role that currently play the external units of mothers.
