This work tackles the dynamics of the Ebro Delta after its evolution and current situation. An estimate of its future evolution is made in the context of natural dynamics and anthropic factors. Firstly, we analyse the concept of ‘delta’ and present a classification of the different types of deltas which currently exist in the world. We describe the delta’s sedentary dynamics and present different management models applied to them. The Ebro Delta is analysed by studying its hydrological basin, morphology, geomorphological and sedimentological elements and its natural dynamics. Socio-economic aspects as well as its natural wealth are also addressed. In order to better understand the natural dynamics of the Ebro Delta, we have analysed its evolutionary history. Finally, this work has outlined the factors that are affecting its regression and possible mitigation measures, which can help slow it down.
