Resumen
[ES] Objetivos: Profundizar en el conocimiento de las enfermedades tropicales en cuanto a sus patologías y tratamientos principales para así poder identificar unos cuidados enfermeros de calidad. Metodología: Para realizar esta revisión bibliográfica se ha llevado a cabo una búsqueda bibliográfica en tres bases de datos: CSIS, Cinhal y ProQuest, mediante diferentes cadenas de búsqueda con fecha de búsqueda. Resultados: Las enfermedades tropicales desatendidas (ETD) son un grupo de enfermedades infecciosas que se caracterizan por proliferar en zonas pobres, especialmente en ambientes cálidos y tropicales. Se calcula que una sexta parte de la población mundial se ve afectado por, al menos, una de estas enfermedades Conclusiones: Las líneas de investigación de diagnósticos y tratamientos eficaces son insuficientes. La falta de distribución imposibilita el acceso al tratamiento. Como profesionales enfermeros es muy importante la educación sanitaria para poder dar unos cuidados de calidad especialmente en el ámbito de la cooperación.
[EN] Targets. To study in depth the knowledge of the tropical diseases as for its pathologies and mains treatments in order to be able to identify a quality nurses care. Methods. To realize this bibliographical review has carried out a bibliographical search in three databases, Cinhal, ProQuest and CSIS, by means of different chains and date of search. Results. The neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) are a group of tropical infections which are characterized for proliferating in poor areas, especially in warm and tropical weather. It´s supposed that a sixth part of the world population is affected by, at least, one of these diseases and half of the population is in risk of contracting some of them. Conclusions. Lack of distribution impedes access to treatment. Nursing professionals are very important in health education in order to provide quality care especially in the field of cooperation.
