La lectura, un proceso descifrado por la neurociencia

Abstract

Esta revisión bibliográfica, se centra en el análisis del comportamiento y actividad cerebral humana durante la lectura, gracias a los conocimientos de la neurociencia. Se comienza ofreciendo los aspectos relevantes de la neurociencia, y la implicación de la misma en el mundo educativo mediante la neuroeducación y la neurodidáctica, prestando atención a las limitaciones que estas presentan. Asimismo, se expone el proceso de aprendizaje lector, etapas, vías de acceso y procesos cognitivos envueltos, atendiendo también, a la fluidez lectora. Se continúa, con la exposición de la estructura cerebral humana, áreas lectoras, y en último lugar, la explicación de cómo se produce la lectura. Para concluir, se muestran ciertas implicaciones de la neurociencia en el tratamiento educativo de la lectura. En definitiva, se muestra la forma en la que la neurociencia desvela las posibilidades del cerebro humano en la lectura y su capacidad para contribuir con la optimización de la educación.The present bibliographic review, focuses on the analysis of human brain activity and behavior during reading, thanks to knowledge of neuroscience. It begins by offering the relevant aspects of neuroscience, and its involvement in the educational world through neuroeducation and neurodidactics, paying attention to the limitations that these present. Likewise, the reading learning process, stages, access routes and cognitive processes involved are exposed, also taking into account, reading fluency. It continues, with the exposition of the human brain structure, reading areas, and lastly, the explanation of how reading occurs. To conclude, certain implications of neuroscience in the educational treatment of reading are shown. In short, it shows the way in which neuroscience reveals the possibilities of the human brain in reading and its ability to contribute to the optimization of education.
